Money. For some of this, this is causing a lot of suffering.
-
Not enough money to cover basic living expenses like rent and food
-
Fear of having even less money than we do, in the near future
-
Tying up our sense of self and our self-worth with money: feeling the crushing shame and embarrassment of not having it, of needing to ask for it
-
Feeling like there's something wrong with us when we see everyone else making money and we can't do it
-
Feeling dependent on others to support us, feeling trapped, unable to do all of the fun things money can buy
-
Feeling completely controlled by whether we have money or not.
But what if the lack of money isn't the dire problem you're so sure it is? What if you could find peace in the midst of this ... and this peace allows money to finally enter?

Money is a really clear reflection of how much you value yourself. That's a pretty controversial statement to make so let me explain: people who lack abundance in their lives are keeping money at bay in service to beliefs that they are holding about their self-worth and deservingness.

And these beliefs can be undone.

It's not as easy though as just deciding to value yourself. If willpower was going to work, then everyone would have an abundance of self-love. There's a good reason that you are keeping money at bay and this belief -- the logic your mind has come up with -- is what we need to uncover.

This is what needs to happen to finally allow money to flow into our experience.
I can describe the experience of not enough money so vividly because I am describing my own experience. For years, I believed that I'm not capable of making money, or, enough money, anyway. And wouldn't you know it ("As life would have it," says Byron Katie), I was a single mom and this supported my story so well: I was more convinced than ever that I couldn't make enough money. And I didn't.

Life responds not to what we want but to our stories about it.

"You can only see what you believe," says Byron Katie. If we are secretly believing we don't deserve money or that we're not capable of making it, we'll prevent it from coming into our experience.

I know the sheer terror of 'not enough' and the pain of shame and humiliation:
-
Credit card being declined face-to-face in front of people
-
Can't pay for the groceries, the rent
-
Seeing no way out of the situation except death ... but not wanting that
-
Asking a friend, again, to borrow money
-
Asking a parent, again
-
And no end to the struggle in sight
-
'Knowing' we can't rely on ourselves to make money, that we will never be able to do it
If money has been a source of struggle for you -- even if it's been a more mildly stressful experience than mine -- I welcome you to come and question what you're believing around money and find the peace that no money can buy.
In fact, this is what our struggles with money are for: to act as a portal into a much greater awareness. Lack of money has been the ultimate gift in my life. Without it, I wouldn't have seen the greater truths about life which I've come to see.

As painful as it's been, I wouldn't trade it.

I would like to share this work with you so you can see for yourself where true freedom and true abundance lie. I would like to help end your fear, too. I know how awful it can be, how terrifying, to have the experience that our feeling of safety and security lies somewhere beyond our control.

This is an introductory course for you to learn the practice of self-inquiry, so you don't have to have any prior experience with it. That said, people who are familiar with The Work can join as well and you will benefit from it. The power is in actually doing the practice, not in merely understanding how to do it, so if you are experienced in this work then you will have ample chance to practice every week and grow your awareness.
This course is oriented around experiential learning, meaning this is a highly practical course and you will leave with a strong grasp of how to do The Work. See the self-inquiry section on my home page if you'd like to read more.
